Even though arms manufacturers usually like to keep quiet about their customers and any details concerning their arms deals they are also very keen to muster political ok for their enterprises. There are numerous industrial associations and lobby groups which also publish position papers occasionally.

Furthermore, some initiatives and groups have tried to collect information about the arms industry for each federal state .....

These associations claim a central role in the dealings  of the arms industry in ensuring the economic welfare in Germany. At the same time they are reluctant to provide details about their revenues, profits, employees and customers. One exception is the Working Group of the defence industry in Schleswig-Holstein. Furthermore, some initiatives and groups have tried to collect information ("Rüstungsatlas") about the arms industry for each federal state.
